"A person's a person no matter how small."
Dr. Seuss
Being kind is what we all should do. I embrace our common mission to inspire, prepare, and empower our students to lead fulfilled lives as compassionate, productive and engaged citizens.
BIO:
My passion to help others started while an undergrad in Albany during the 1990s. As a teenage volunteer at Hackett Middle School, I soon realized teaching students was a learning experience and the following day changed my major to English Education. As a young teacher, reading student poems, stories and journals, I knew more could be done to help tomorrow's children. I soon decided to practice school counseling. Twenty years later, still climbing the next rung on my career ladder, I have found my dream job as current school counselor at Lawrence Avenue.
