Sandstoner Foundation History

The Sandstoner Foundation was established in 2000 to provide scholarships and awards to graduating seniors at PCS who are continuing their education by attending college or entering the military.  More than $170,000 has been awarded from 2001-2010.

Sandstoner Foundation Principles

• Seniors must apply for scholarships/awards.
• Seniors must be attending college or entering the military after high school.
• All of the tax-deductable donations go to students in the form of scholarships and awards.
• Each donor will receive a thank you note from the senior receiving the donation.
• Seniors who receive awards are encouraged to someday become Sandstoner Foundation donors themselves.

Why help?

• College tuition is expensive!  Many students work very hard and deserve recognition for their hard work.  Many seniors need financial assistance to make college a reality.
• The Sandstoner Foundation has 23 named scholarships and awards, which were established by families and friends.  Excellence in English and French, the enjoyment of math, a love for animals and the outdoors, accomplishments in music, and a desire to enter the military to serve our country are all qualifications for one of the awards.  We have a great variety to match the diversity of each PCS senior class.
• The Sandstoner Foundation also has several general awards, which are given when funding allows.
