FAQ's
Q: How late is library open?
A: The library is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30
pm. It is closed daily for lunch from 11:35 t0 12 Noon.
Q: How does a student go to the library from study hall?
A: To leave a study hall for the library, the student signs up on
the appropriate sheet under their study hall teacher's name before going
to homeroom. The student goes directly to the library instead of
the study hall. Attendance it taken in the library and is reported
to the study hall teacher.
Some rules about signing up:
1. Seniors may sign up for more than one period a day.
2. Underclassmen may sign up for one period a day and may come back
during another study hall later if they need to finish any library work
or to use the computers.
3. Please sign up before the homeroom bell.
4. Please do not sign up other people. If they happen to be
absent, they are taking up a spot another student needs.
Q: How does a new student get a login name and password?
A: A new student will be given an account on the network by the
computer coordinator, Rob Best, soon after arriving. It may take
a few days to receive it but the computer coordinator routinely checks
for new students.
Q: How does a new student get access to the Internet? Does
a new student need to sign an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) in order to
get access?
A: As soon as the student receives his/her login name and password,
he/she will have access to the Internet. Proper use of the Internet
is a part of our Code of Conduct, therefore, students do not need to sign
an AUP for access.
Q: How long can I take out a book? How many can take I out?
Can I renew?
A: Books and other materials may be signed out for two weeks. The
student may take as many books as he/she needs at one time, all
we ask is that they get returned! Books may be renewed by the student
if they need it longer than two weeks. The student does not need
to have the book on their person to renew.
If you have a question regarding the library that is not listed here,
please email the librarian.
