Frederick (Fred) Stone Jr. has resided in Potsdam since 1997, with his wife Carolyn (Bondellio – PCS class of ’86), and sons Benjamin (PCS class of 2010) and Daniel (a freshman at Potsdam High School). Fred attended both SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University, obtaining degrees in Geology and Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is employed as a Professional Civil Engineer by the Department of the Army at Fort Drum and is a US Army veteran of the first Gulf War and Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. Fred is dedicated to the Potsdam Community and committed to maintaining the excellence of Potsdam Central School. He serves as Chairman of the Town of Potsdam Zoning Board and is a member of the Town of Potsdam Planning Board, has volunteered his time as a coach in Potsdam Youth Basketball and Baseball programs, and is an active member in the Potsdam (BPO) Elks Lodge. He has much experience in contract negotiation, sound business practice, and collaboration in working toward a common goal.
